Heeseung Leaves ENHYPEN; Group to Continue With Six Members
Heeseung, who debuted with the K-pop group ENHYPEN in 2020, will no longer be part of the group, according to an announcement from BELIFT LAB.
On March 10, 2026, the agency released a statement on ENHYPEN’s official social media accounts discussing the group’s future plans. The notice was shared in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.
BELIFT LAB explained that the decision followed extensive discussions about ENHYPEN’s long-term direction. During these conversations with the members, the company recognized that Heeseung has a musical vision of his own. As a result, both sides agreed to respect his aspirations and move forward separately.
With Heeseung’s departure, ENHYPEN will continue their activities as a six-member group consisting of Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki.
The news surprised many fans, and the agency acknowledged this reaction in its announcement. The company said the decision was not made lightly and came after careful consideration. While the situation may bring mixed emotions for supporters, BELIFT LAB emphasized that the choice was made with both the group’s future and Heeseung’s goals in mind.

Although he is leaving ENHYPEN, Heeseung will remain under BELIFT LAB and plans to pursue his career as a solo artist. The label revealed that he is currently preparing a solo album and asked fans, known as ENGENE, to continue supporting both the group and Heeseung as they begin new chapters in their careers.
Soon after the announcement, Heeseung shared a handwritten letter with fans on the platform Weverse. In the message, he apologized for the sudden news and thanked fans for their love and support during his time with ENHYPEN. He described his experience in the group as a dream he will always treasure.
Heeseung also explained that he has been developing personal creative projects for some time. Wanting to fully focus on those ambitions without affecting his responsibilities to the group, he ultimately decided that pursuing a solo path was the best choice.
The announcement comes less than two months after ENHYPEN released their seventh EP, The Sin: Vanish, in January, featuring the lead track “Knife.” The group also concluded their Walk The Line world tour in late 2025 after previously making their debut at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Earlier this year, Sunghoon mentioned in an interview that the group was preparing for additional tours and activities, although no further details have yet been confirmed by the agency.
